Current Context: The Agriculture Insurance Company of India launched the Krishi Sakhi Initiative in 2026 to empower women farmers.

5. RELIEF SCHEME

Current Context: The Government of India approved the RELIEF Scheme to support exporters affected by maritime disruptions in West Asia.

  • Full Form: Resilience and Logistics Intervention for Export Facilitation
  • Launched by: Government of India under Export Promotion Mission
  • Purpose: To support exporters facing high freight costs, insurance premiums, and war-related risks

Key Features:

  • Enhanced Risk Coverage: 100 percent coverage for additional conflict losses (14 Feb – 15 March 2026)
  • Future Export Support: Up to 95 percent coverage (16 March – 15 June 2026)
  • MSME Support: 50 percent reimbursement (up to ₹50 lakh) for extra costs
  • Regional Coverage: Applies to Gulf and West Asia countries
  • Operational Relief: Waiver of storage charges and procedural relaxations
  • Monitoring: Real-time dashboard tracking by ECGC

7. WORLD INDOOR ATHLETICS CHAMPIONSHIPS 2028

Current Context: India will host the World Indoor Athletics Championships 2028 for the first time in Bhubaneswar.
