  • Can occur after vaccination or major surgery.

SYMPTOMS

  • Fever followed by muscle weakness.
  • Progressive paralysis in severe cases.
  • Can cause respiratory failure.

TREATMENT AND PROGNOSIS

  • No permanent cure available.
  • Early treatment improves recovery.
  • Most patients recover within months, though some effects may persist.
