9. FIRST LNG–DIESEL DUAL-FUEL DEMU TRAIN
Current Context: Indian Railways has launched India’s first LNG–diesel dual-fuel DEMU train at Sabarmati, Ahmedabad, marking a major step towards cleaner, cost-efficient, and environment-friendly rail transport.

- Type: Diesel Electric Multiple Unit (DEMU) upgraded to dual-fuel operation.

- Power: Equipped with 1,400 HP driving power cars converted for dual-fuel use.
